Spring Craft Day!

Alright so... I had a Saturday to myself and desperately wanted to do anything besides work. So I decided to do some crafts that I had pinned a while ago, both designated for the bathroom.

To start- I wanted to take a boring white plastic three-drawer container that I've been carting around with me since college and update it a little

So, borrowing from the idea here: http://jen-simplyliving.blogspot.com/2011/02/plastic-drawer-mini-facelift.html

I took my 3-drawer monstrosity and picked out some pretty scrapbook paper.

And then I Mod-podged it, mod-podge is super awesome but I still don't get how the name is says anything about the product. That, and when I was explaining how I did this to the bf I learned that after the 5th time you say "i mod-podged it" you start to feel like an idiot. but whatever.
As always-Eli is super into helping/overseeing anything crafty.

*Eli is in charge of quality control.

So I did that for each drawer, one layer of mod-poge, paper, another layer, let it dry, repeat x2. At the end it was late so I let it dry overnight.

Meanwhile, I decided to do my other bathroom craft- which was inspired by this : http://www.bhg.com/bathroom/storage/storage-solutions/store-more-in-your-bathroom/#page=7

I got plates from wal-mart, and candlesticks from the dollar store. To adhere them to each other i used (aquarium-safe) silicone. It worked great, and smelled terrible. I felt like I should be using a fume hood.

I let each step dry for ~1/2 an hour before adding another layer and then let it dry overnight before I picked it up/threw it around/trusted it to hold my precious bathroom belonging (like nail polish)

Anyway, after 1 day and 2 crafts my bathroom is pretty and has a lot more storage!
